On February 20–21, 2026, a workshop for educators titled “Social Media and Manipulation of Public Opinion” was held.
The event brought together 47 educators, who, as a result of the workshop, improved their media literacy, mastered modern digital tools, and deepened their understanding of the mechanisms by which information influences society. Workshop participants had the opportunity to learn about practical approaches to using artificial intelligence tools in educational activities, particularly for preparing teaching materials and optimizing daily work, and received participant certificates (15 hours, 0.5 ECTS).
Special attention during the workshop was given to analyzing manipulative techniques in the media landscape, recognizing disinformation, and fostering critical thinking. Participants also explored the mechanisms of social media platforms, particularly the principles of the “attention economy” and algorithmic tools for influencing user behavior. The event addressed issues of the safe and ethical use of social media in the professional practice of teachers during wartime, as well as the potential applications of artificial intelligence in educational communication.
