A free workshop for educators titled “Social Media and Manipulation of Public Opinion” will take place on February 20–21, 2026

We invite you to join our free online workshop “Social Media and Manipulation of Public Opinion”, which will take place on February 20–21, 2026, and includes a certificate of participation (15 hours, 0.5 ECTS).

1. the practical use of artificial intelligence tools as an assistant in daily work. Participants will be introduced to several tools that help increase productivity, reduce the time spent preparing for lessons, and developing teaching materials for various subjects and grade levels.
2. analysis of mechanisms for manipulating public consciousness in the modern information space, particularly through the media, social networks, and public communications. Participants will explore practical tools for identifying manipulative techniques, critically analyzing messages, and building resilience against disinformation and propaganda.
3. exploring mechanisms for capturing users’ attention on social media and algorithmic tools for influencing behavior and information perception. Participants will analyze “attention economy” practices, learn to recognize digital “hooks,” and develop approaches to mindful and safe content consumption.
4. the use of social media in a teacher’s professional practice during wartime, taking into account risks, security challenges, and ethical considerations. Participants will explore the potential applications of artificial intelligence tools for educational communication, content creation, and supporting the learning process.

The event is held as part of the project “Modeling and Analysis of Information Warfare Processes as a Tool for Protecting Democracy in the EU and Countering Threats” (101238591— EUDemCT — ERASMUS -JMO-2025-HEI-TCH-RSCH) is implemented by the National University of Ostroh Academy with co-funding from the European Union and aims to address critical gaps in understanding the mechanisms of disinformation, the lack of standardized counterstrategies, and low public awareness of information threats. Recognizing information warfare as a growing challenge for democratic institutions in Ukraine and the EU, the project brings together education, research, and cross-sectoral cooperation to enhance resilience to hybrid threats.их загроз.
